Here are a few more pics from the Jason Mraz concert Sunday.  Thanks for stopping back by!

The photographers only got to stick around for 3 songs before we got the boot.  Dang it, dude.

Huge crowd for this one.  Memorial Coliseum was packed.  The a/c wasn’t working well, so it got a bit steamy.  These folks didn’t seem to mind.

These folks seem to be having a pretty good time, too.  :)

Love the lighting on this one.

Toca Rivera…one cool dude.

My exposure on this one was whack, but I don’t care!  I love how it turned out!  The colors are crazy!

I’m absolutely stoked with these images.  Bryan’s my cousin, and, in addition to trusting me as their realtor recently, he and Kearstin picked me as the photographer for the biggest day of their life.  No pressure, right?  :)

I loved every second of this day.  We started off at Posh Salon before heading over to the Bell House (newly renovated and gorgeous, btw) for the ceremony.  The reception was at the Hartland clubhouse, and though it was pretty dang cool, nothing was quite as special as getting to take them out for photos afterwards—in a ‘58 Bentley.  Sweet.

I used one of Bryan’s and Kearstin’s wedding songs for the slideshow.  It also happens to be one of my favorite old-school jams.  Funny story?  I bought this song on cassette single (remember those?) for my 7th grade girlfriend (2 whole weeks, mind you).  Niiiiice.  :)

To Bryan and Kearstin-Congrats!  I am SO glad you’ve invited me into your lives.  I’m looking forward to staying in touch!

Enjoy the show, y’all, and please leave me some comment-love if you have a second!  Thanks!

I love what I do.  I get to meet so many awesome people.  I’m particularly fond of Erin and Kenny.  I met Erin while caravanning to Pretty Place for her sister Amy’s and my friend Chris’ wedding.  It was there that I got to spend tons of time around Erin, her family and friends.  Good people.

Kenny fits right into this bunch.  I got to hang out with him quite a bit recently while I helped him sell his house (and yes, that was an ever-so-subtle real estate plug).  :)  Great guy.  Funny.  And he looooooves Erin.  Actually, they might just be one of the sweetest e-session couples I’ve photographed.  They’re amazing individuals, but it’s what they are when they’re together that’s special.  When their eyes lock on one another, you know they’re for real.  When they laugh together, you can’t help but smile.  Their vibe is infectious, and I can’t wait to spend more time around them.

Thanks, Erin and Kenny, for bringing me in on this exciting time in your lives.  I can’t wait for our road trip back to NC!  :)

I always like to talk a bit with folks before I start their sessions.  I love to soak in their vibe.  Who they are, where they’ve been, what they’re into. It helps me to, for a lack of better words, get in the zone before photographing them.

It’s weird, but I think my ideas about maternity shoots have changed somewhat now that Katie and I have been through the pregnancy/parenting process with Carson.  As I sat there in front of Chelsea and Sean, who are expecting sweet Langley’s arrival soon, all kinds of things were blurring through my head.  Immediately, I’m struck by their attraction to each other.  They’re like peanut butter and jelly, Bella and Edward, like Tori and Dean. :)  But here with them now is precious Langley, too.  The two of them are stepping out into this amazing thing called parenthood, and though they’ve probably been told all about it, they have no idea just how incredible and life-changing it’s going to be.  Every second will be filled with new experiences as the three of them venture through life together as a family.  It’s that kind of sentiment that I carried with me while photographing them, and I can’t wait for you all to see the images we captured.

To Chelsea and Sean- Thank you for inviting me into this crazy-cool time of your life.  It’s insane for me to think that these images will be part of your new family’s history.  Congrats!

To Langley- You’re a lucky little dude.  :)  Your parents already love you so much.  Just wait til you’re on the scene!

In the spirit of warmer weather and horse racing, I took 3 fun Lexington ladies out for a spring fashion shoot.  Good times!  Lynn with Gold Shield drove us from Keeneland to the Carrick House (not without a quick stop at the Atomic Cafe), then finally downtown to shoot outside the Kentucky Theater.

Many thanks to the following people for helping to make this shoot so much fun:

Jackie Lee, owner of Every Last Detail-  Thanks, Jackie, for all your ideas and help with orchestrating this!

Bluegrass Bride-  Thank you for providing these 6 AMAZING dresses for our shoot!

Meredith Lane, Kim Soper, and Kelly Anne Beile (owner of iModels Event Staffing-  Thanks so much for being up for this.  You three are beautiful, you’re a blast to hang out with, and I’m looking forward to working with you again.

Lynn West at Gold Sheild Transportation-  You were great!  Thanks for lending a hand.  I hope it was a fun night for you!

Morgan Siler-  Thanks for second shooting with me!  You were great!
