Congrats to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass for 25 wonderful years.  Executive Director Sarah Warner was nice enough to invite me back out to the house for the anniversary celebration a couple weeks ago.  I love, love, love this organization and all the amazing people who make it so successful, including Ronald McDonald himself.  I have to admit that I’m a bit star-struck.

Check out their website HERE if you’d like to learn more and get involved.  You can see the highlights from the event below by clicking the play button.  Thanks for stopping by, y’all!

  • WOW. This brought a little tear to my eye. I am starting to get involved with the RMH so it was neat to see this. What a great organization they are, and beautiful beautiful photos.

  • Oh Shaun. I’m crying. These are fabulous pictures of a great day! Thank you so much for capturing the spirit of our celebration so poignantly!

  • What a beautiful job! Those will look great in an annual report.

  • Shaun…you are so incredibly talented! The slideshow brought me chills, laughter and tears (all at the same time, no less!) I can not thank you enough for sharing this incredible day with us and for capturing it so beautifully! What an amazing gift you have and what a gift you are to the Ronald McDonald House! thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Brilliant and touching slide show with fabulous, heart-felt photos. The RMH is an amazing organization - and I’m super-proud of my sister for serving as the executive director. Congratulations on your 25th anniversary, Ronald McDonald House!

  • This is what life is all about! Caring and sharing with others especially our precious kids and their parents that need a hand on a rocky road. Thanks for a beautiful reminder of why we are here.

  • [...] while you’re at it, check out this very touching slideshow put together by another VERY TALENTED local photographer Shaun Ring who photographed the Ronald [...]

  • Shaun, what a wonderful job you did! As I was enjoying the show, I couldn’t help but feel very proud to see the results of my hard work at the House. Thanks for capturing the heart and soul of this special place for others to see. It was truly a magnificent presentation.

Our little weekend excursion couldn’t have come at a better time.  With me being right in the thick of peak season for real estate and photography, I was sooooo needing to just get away for a few days for some family time with Katie and Carson.  Here are a few highlights from our trip to Cincy.

Carson looooooves crocodiles.  The Cincinnati Zoo was nice, but I’ve gotta say…I’m think I like the Louisville Zoo much better.  Just being honest!

Carson’s very first theater experience was a short 3-D presentation at the Cincinnati Zoo.  Unfortunately, we couldn’t persuade him to wear the goofy glasses.  I’d doubting that he enjoyed the blurry 2-D version.

Me being serious as always.

Love this shot.  :)

So pretty.  That’s the hotel we stayed at.  The Hilton Netherland Plaza was really old and full of character.  Rooms were a bit small, but the overall vibe was excellent.

Nice moment.

We got to check out the dinosaur exhibit at the Cincinnati Children’s Museum.  Carson and Diego had quite an adventure.

Check out this fun session I did recently at Maxwell Place on the University of Kentucky campus. Thanks to Kelley Bozeman, one of my absolute fave UK folks, I got hooked up with Catherine and her two kiddos Wade and Hamilton. These boys are so full of life and personality. I love it!

The Nalli Family is a special one. I’ve been getting to know Kelley for awhile now through some commercial work I’ve been doing with her and the folks at Cornett. They are a fun, warm and beautiful family.  Back during the winter, I got to be the first photog to capture sweet images of a then newborn Jackson. I was shocked to see how much he’s grown in such a short time.  He’s a perfect beautiful mix of Jeremy and Kelley, and his temperament might just be the happiest one I’ve seen.  Such a sweetie.

Thank you Kelley, Jeremy and Jackson for letting me hang out with you for a bit.  I’ll look forward to staying in touch!

Lauren and Shelby were one of my first wedding couples a few years back.  They had the sweetest ceremony and reception at the Bodley-Bullock house in Lexington.  I remember fondly running down the sidewalk next to Gratz Park, clicking away with my camera as they raced back inside before the rain started to pour.  Good times!

I know that it’s a reoccuring theme here on my blog, but I’m going to say it again…I love that photography puts me in touch with awesome people. I feel blessed to have met Lauren and Shelby.  They’re awesome people, and I’m happy to call them friends.

They called me down to Bardstown recently to photograph their first-born son, Nate.  What a cutie!  He’s got a great life ahead of him with such positive and warm parents.  :)

Enjoy the slideshow, everybody, and feel free to stay in touch!  All of my Facebook, Twitter, and RSS feed info is at the top right of the site.  I’ll look forward to hearing from you all!  -shaun
