Many thanks to Laura Triplett at the Lexington Downtown Hotel and Conference Center for referring Melissa and Chris my way. From the moment I sat down with these two, I knew we’d be a perfect fit together. They’re a laid back, cool couple, and they wanted their wedding photography to have that same real, authentic and fresh quality. I’m so glad we hooked up!
Here are a few of my faves:
Melissa’s dad.
Gorgeous.
The ceremony was the very first wedding held at the new Victory Lutheran Church here in Lexington. Thanks to Pastor Zietlow for being so warm and helpful!
Love the lighting and expressions here.
I got sooooo lucky with this shot. The light from the sunroof couldn’t have been any more perfect.
You’re a beautiful bride, Melissa!

My favorite shot from the speeches and toasts. Great moment.
I’m a big fan of Lexington Downtown Hotel’s ballroom. Huge space, tons of drama. Plus, the reception was flawlessly planned and implemented by Laura Triplett and the friendly staff. Things went sooo smoothly.
I’ve gotta give up some major props to Betsy, one of my second shooters, for capturing this moment. Love it.
Hahahaha…
Thank you to my long-time friend and second shooter Scott Hicks and to Betsy Whiteman, who has been shooting with us for the last couple years, too. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your hard work, and how much I look forward to working more with you two. We have a blast together!
Check out the highlights slideshow below and feel free to leave me comment if you feel inspired. And please-I’d love for you all to stay in touch with me on Facebook and Twitter! Last thing?
