The Carr family won one of my photography sessions through a silent auction to benefit the Lighthouse Ministries of Lexington, KY. The Lighthouse is pretty amazing. I’d love it if you’d check out THIS post and then look into getting involved. Good stuff!
In discussing locations for their session, we came up with Waveland. Waveland is a place where I photographed families ALL THE TIME when I was first starting my business. The last couple years, though, I really haven’t been back. Not that it’s not gorgeous, because it definitely is. I think I just got a bit burned out with it, you know? As it turns out, going back there to shoot recently was like a homecoming of sorts. It was as if I was seeing it with new eyes. I’m really happy with the images!
To Tom and Christy–Stay in touch! I enjoyed getting to know you all!
Here are just a handful of my favorites:
Love this shot of Kelli.
Amanda swinging. Notice the panning technique? Tons of fun to try! Took me like 20 shots to get this one…LOL
Leaf angels?
And the slideshow:
Before you leave, feel free to leave a comment and check out some of the other posts. Oh, and don’t forget to add me to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Bye! -shaun

Shaun, My first reaction was; I just wanted to cry! As a father and photographer myself, I truely know what it means to capture memories in time. As we grow older, our memories of days passed fade all too quickly. New memories fill our minds, and sometimes even the best of moments are forgotten. You have helped to create a memory that will now live forever in our hearts and minds. My wife and I both agreed when we placed the bid for this setting that it was well worth the money, and hopefully, through this experience, someones life will be “changed for a lifetime”. Thank you for a fun-filled day, and may God continue to richly bless you for the memories you so awesomely create. Tom

Beautiful family! I love the setting. Well done on the song choice, too.

love this shoot! There are some really beautiful images in the slideshow. There are a lot of moments between the family that are just precious. The ones between the husband and wife, and the ones between the two daughters are great. Nice Job!
