Leslie works in surgery at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, so she’s got the hook-up on horse farms. So much so that she was able to score us some time at Shadwell Farm for her and Jesse’s engagement session. Pretty dang sweet.
I love these two! Just fun, laid back folks. After ending their session in downtown Lexington, we grabbed some pizza from Goodfellas Pizzeria and hung out for a bit. Perfect ending.

Many thanks to Magnus who assisted me for this session. I couldn’t help wanting a shot of him at the end of the session, so Jesse held the light and Magnus gave us his super-hero pose. Awesome, right?
Below you’ll find the slideshow with some more of my favorite shots from the engagement session. When it’s over, I’d love for each of you to leave a comment and connect with me. I’m all about some Twitter and Facebook, so don’t be shy, y’all!

Your engagement sessions show you have a real gift for taking people who are probably not used to being in front of a camera much look very natural and comfortable, even in intimate moments. That is a talent well beyond knowing exposure and lighting.

Hi Shaun,
We are Jesse’s parents, and we were BLOWN AWAY by these photos of our beautiful children. You have really captured the essence of whom they are, and of their love for each other. And, your slide show made us both cry! We can only imagine what the actual wedding photos will be like. Thank you for this beautiful work. Peri & Russ
