Remember Devie and Otto (HERE and HERE)? Super-cool couple. Their chemistry is the perfect mix of fun, sassy and sweet. They’re enchanting to watch together, which could explain why it took me forever to narrow down my favorite images from their wedding.

To Devie and Otto—Thank you for trusting me to just do what I do. You’ve been an absolute blast to be around. You’re awesome people, and I hope we can stay in touch!

Benefit of doing hair and makeup in your room at the Hyatt? Tasty treats sent up from the chef. Nice, eh?

Estes Chapel on the Asbury campus in Wilmore, KY is a classic ceremony spot. It’s also a great place to take a nap if you’re a groomsman who stayed out a bit late with the boys the night before.

Devie and Otto opted to see each other before the ceremony so that they’d have plenty of time and not be rushed getting to the reception later. This shot was right as Otto laid eyes on Devie for the first time that day. Priceless.

Love the red heels.

I ventured to the right front corner of the church to get a different angle on the unity candle lighting. While there, I lucked into catching this sweet, candid moment when Devie wrapped her arms around Otto and squeezed him in tight. Love when things work out like that.

Timeless.

While I was getting some family shots with the bride and groom, Magnus raced on back to the Hyatt to get some of the awesome detail shots from the reception setup. Definitely a nice advantage to having two shooters. Thanks, Magnus!

What a moment.

Devie’s mom sang while Devie and her dad danced.

In their own little world. Awesome.

Here I am with Magnus, Devie, Otto and Erin. Heck of a team we five were that day.

And below is the highlights slideshow. Hope you like it!

Shaun– After being wowed by our engagement photos, Devie and I had every confidence that our wedding day memories were in good hands. And as everyone can see, you and Magnus totally hit it out of the park. In these images, you’ve somehow managed to capture all the joy and wonder that we felt in our hearts that night. We are truly grateful, and will cherish our wedding album for years to come. To anyone out there considering hiring Shaun, we offer only the highest praise for both his artistic talent and gracious professionalism. Go with Shaun. You won’t regret it!

  • Those are beautiful pictures! Congratulations for the couple.

I joke alot. But Brett? Man, Anna has her hands full. He’s one funny dude, and together they are a very sweet pair.

They invited me out to Brett’s family’s farm in Lawrenceburg for their engagement shoot.  And of course, our first location for shooting was next to Brett’s first car, a classic Trans Am.

The sun was filtered just right through some clouds to create this soft look.

Their dog Darby loves them…and the camera.

I really like how the wind caught Anna’s hair here. Gorgeous, right?

My favorite.

Or maybe this one is my favorite.

To Anna and Brett—It was so nice to hang out with you in the country for a bit. I’m pretty well locked into Lexington for the foreseeable future, but I’d like to think that one day I’ll have a some land well outside of the city limits, too. You two are beautiful people, and I can’t wait to see you in July for your wedding.

And special thanks to Lexington photog CJ Cruz for accompanying me and helping out with the shoot. Talk to you soon, bro!

Everyone else? Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to stay in touch with the studio via Facebook.  Take care! -shaun

You may have met Devie and Otto HERE on the blog back in March.  What I love most about them is their sense of adventure. While that March session at WT Young Library was fun, it was just a warm-up for the main event.  We journeyed to Cincinnati for their session so that they could relive their first date, which was at King’s Island. Before leaving Ohio, though, we stopped by downtown to soak in the city lights.

Below are some of my faves…

I’ve been dreaming about doing a shot like this for a long while. I knew what it would take to pull it off technically, but didn’t have the opportunity. Glad they were up for it!

Devie wowing Otto with her dance moves.

Smokin’ hot, eh? I hope Devie talks Otto into ordering a canvas as big as a wall for this one! Ha!

To Devie and Otto—stay tuned! Your wedding images will be up very, very soon. I’ve had so much fun getting to know you. Can’t wait to keep in touch!

To everyone else—I hope you enjoyed this post! If you’d like to stay up-to-date on new work and upcoming promotions, I’d love for you to connect with the studio HERE.  Bye!  -shaun
