Kristy owns the real estate company I work for. We both used to work for another great company in Lexington, but Kristy, being driven and immensely brave, left the safety of the nest to start her own company. I joined  her team a little while later, because there’s something about new beginnings that’s exciting to me. Today her company, RE/MAX Elite is one of the most successful real estate firms in town, not because Kristy is awesome (but she is), but because she encourages her agents to be.

This wedding wasn’t just about Kristy and Todd joining their lives together, though it was a huge part, of course. It was also about joining together two sweet families—Kristy and her three kids with Todd and his two.  As a wedding photographer, it can be tempting to apply a one-size-fits-all approach to telling the story through pictures, but I think it’s most important to always be true to the moment. Capturing the spirit of the people and relationships. Recording the real them, though not as a passive observer, but rather as one person with a camera who is very fond of this family.

  • I love the fact that you are soooo good, that you make me cry during slideshows of people that I have never met. Another amazing job Shaun and best of luck to the couple!

Every wedding has it’s own feel.  A soul, even.  So it’s my job to see my couples. To really get them, you know?

Aubrey and Brad are genuine people. When you’re around them, you can tell exactly who they are as individuals. As a couple. As friends. And boy do they have some friends! Their wedding reception at the Limestone Club was not huge in numbers, but in spirit and energy, it couldn’t be topped. What a hoot!

I hope you can really see Aubrey and Brad in these images. They’re beautiful people!

Here’s a slideshow with the rest of the highlights:

No pressure, but if you’ve enjoyed these images and would like to stay connected with my work, you might wanna head over to the studio’s Facebook page and click “like”. It’s there you’ll be able to keep up-to-date with new work and upcoming promotions.

And a final thanks to the vendors!
