I’m a simple guy really.  I love my family.  I love people.  I love business.  This post brings together all three of my loves.  That excites me.

Katie and I work really hard to always make sure that Carson has new experiences and opportunities for personal growth.  Of all of the classes and groups that we’ve been a part of with Carson, he has been the most interested toward the Kids Yoga class at Bliss Wellness Center.

Katie took Carson the first couple times, and she would come home telling me about the incredible instructor Kara, who would take Carson’s interests (dinosaurs, animals) and develop around them playful, imaginative yoga.  I just had to meet her and see what this was all about.  Of course, I brought my camera, too.

I was shocked by how well Carson did.  He can really rock some poses!  Most impressive, though, was the genuine warmth that Kara exudes.  She has the ability to bring fun and peace to a room.  Like a super-hero.  So cool.

Bliss Wellness isn’t just about kids yoga, though.  They offer a variety of services–yoga, pilates, massage, reflexology, reiki, meditation, acupuncture and Chinese herbs, Phoenix Rising yoga therapy, life coaching, and counseling.

I’m passionate about my businesses, and I can’t help but want to cheer-lead for other people who are fervently pursuing their own.  So after you check out these shots from Carson’s yoga class, I really want to encourage you to check out Bliss Wellness Center.  You’ll be so happy you did!

One of the best parts about being a wedding photographer is that I get to stay in touch with my couples afterward.  As they start growing their families, I’m often a part of documenting those sweet early years.  It’s a very cool thing.

Cristy and Don were married in May of 2008.  Their duo act is now a trio.  Judging by permanent smiles they had on their faces while watching Sidney during the shoot, I’m pretty sure they are loving this new arrangement.  Isn’t Sidney a sweetie?

This session wasn’t just about Sidney, though.  She brought along her four cousins.

Will and Claire are siblings.  When they’re not pushing each other, they look like this:

Siblings Liam and Jameson.  Looks like a fashion ad.  Work it, you two!

This session was originally planned to be a surprise for the kids’ grandparents, but someone let the secret out.  Guess who came along?  Lorraine—you’re one lucky lady!  You have some really awesome kids and grandkids.

Oh. Em. Gee.

Clearly, we keep everything very serious during these types of sessions.

Looooove this shot.

To Cristy & Don, Heather & Kyle and Tim & Kim—-Thank you for trusting me with such important photographs.  I’ll look forward to staying in touch with you all through the years.

To everyone else that dropped by to look at this post—-Thanks for stopping by.  I hope that seeing these images will encourage you to a)spend some time with your own sweet families and b)have some really good photographs taken soon.  Even if it’s not by me—seriously.  These years fly by, you know?

Bye, y’all!  Hook up with me on Facebook and Twitter!

If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you might remember my maternity session with Chelsea and Sean last year before Langley was born.  I can’t believe it’s been a year already.  Chelsea asked me if I’d be up for photographing Langley’s first birthday party.  That’s a really special thing!  I’m flattered!

Below you’ll find some of my favorites and a slideshow.  I’d love to hear from everybody afterward, so please leave a comment and hook up with me on Facebook and Twitter.  I had a lot of fun with Chelsea’s and Sean’s families.  Great people.  I hope they’ll stay in touch!

And the slideshow….Enjoy!
