If you already read THIS post, then you know that Katie, Carson and I are now proud owners of a sweet Cavalier named Cera—thanks to our friends Jordan, Tiffiney and George. We recently got the four puppies together with their mom and dad for a reunion/photoshoot in the studio. Thank you to everyone who came out to help, especially Jordan and Michael. Can you believe we got all six to pose at the same time? Here’s the whole crew:

From left to right: Rudy, Cera, Deitrich, Max (father), Lexie (mother) and Sprinkles

Each dog got a bit of solo time in a sweet midcentury Herman Miller chair I scored at Scout here in Lexington.

Mother Lexie.

Father Max. I love that little tongue.

Rudy.

Another of Rudy…couldn’t resist. This one is pretty awesome.

Deitrich. Too cool for school.

Sprinkles and her mama.

Love this shot of Sprinkles. Her eyes are so expressive!

I have a feeling this shot might be gracing the invitations to Sprinkles first birthday party. I. Am. So. There.

And our Cera.

Such a princess!

When I got my studio last year, I had no plans to photograph dogs. But life’s a funny thing. The studio is mainly being used for commercial photography, but I’m totally up for branching out a bit into this new niche. Bring out your pups!

If you’d like to stay up-to-date on the latest work and promotions with the studio, please feel free to hook up with me on the studio’s Facebook page. Keep in touch!

I photographed Henry a good 5 years ago at his house. That’s when I met Nancy and Don, two of the proudest parents to a Cavalier King Charles that you’ll ever meet. We reconnected recently when Nancy saw that I had posted pics of our own Cav, Cera. There’s a unique bond that brings together dog lovers, and that connection is especially fun when it involves a pretty dang awesome breed like the Cavalier.

How cute is this guy?

If you know me, then you know what a huge difference my assistant Candi has made in my life. She works behind the scenes to make sure my life is in order and that I stay focused on the big picture. As a result, my business grew in her first year with me, and more importantly, I regained some much needed time with Katie and Carson. Good stuff.

But being around Candi also got me thinking about how nice it might be to have a dog in our home. In the time that I’ve known Candi and her husband Josh, I’ve seen how much love they have for their babies Avalanche and Affinity, two of the sweetest dachshunds you’ll ever meet. So we got Cera, and we’re now proud doggy parents, too. It’s great to be in the club!

Candi brought Avalanche and Affinity by recently for a shoot. I can’t help but smile every time I see these…
